Privacy Policy

Who we are
Trym ("we", "us") is a booking and business management platform for salons and barbershops, available at www.trym.app.
Tenants are the salons and barbershops that use Trym to run their business, together with their team members.
Users are the customers who book, buy or pay at a salon through the salon's Trym website.
For the personal data of Users, the salon decides why and how it is used, and Trym processes it on the salon's behalf. For the data of Tenants and their team members, Trym is responsible.
Data we collect
- Account data of Tenants: name, email address, phone number, business details, settings, services, prices, team members and the content of the salon's website.
- Booking and customer data: name, email address, phone number, address when the service is provided at the customer's location, appointment details, notes, and purchase and payment history, entered by Users or by the salon.
- Payment data: payments are processed by Stripe. Trym never receives or stores full card numbers.
- Google Calendar data, only for team members who connect their Google Calendar: see the Google Calendar section below.
- Technical data: cookies and browser storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your language, and server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) used for security and troubleshooting.
- Analytics: the marketing pages of www.trym.app use Google Tag Manager to measure visits. A salon may add its own Google Analytics to its website; the salon is responsible for that use.
How we use data
- To provide the service: online booking, confirmations and reminders by email, payments, the salon's website and shop, and the tools salons use to manage their business.
- To send account, billing and security emails.
- To secure the platform, prevent fraud and fix problems.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
Google Calendar
Team members can choose to connect their own Google account in Trym (Admin, Profile, My Google Calendar). Before sending you to Google, Trym explains what the two calendar permissions are for, and you can untick either of them on Google's screen.
What Trym accesses
- Your Google account email address and account identifier, to show which account is connected.
- The busy and free times of your primary calendar (permission "calendar.freebusy"). Trym does not read the title, description, location or guests of your events.
- The events on your primary calendar that Trym itself creates (permission "calendar.events.owned"). Trym creates one event for each Trym appointment assigned to you, and updates or deletes that event when the appointment changes or is cancelled. Trym does not read, change or delete your other events.
How Trym uses it
- Busy and free times are used only while availability is shown or a booking is made, to hide the time slots when you are busy. They are not stored.
- Each appointment event shows the service name and the customer's name as its title, the appointment notes as its description, at the appointment's date and time.
What Trym stores
- Your Google email address, the access and refresh tokens Google issues, their expiry date, the permissions granted and your sync settings, for as long as your calendar is connected.
- The identifier of each event Trym created, kept with the appointment so the event can be updated or removed.
Sharing and protection
- Google data is never sold, never shared with advertisers or data brokers, and never used for advertising.
- Google data is not used to develop, improve or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
- The salon's administrators can see which team members connected a calendar and the connected Google email address. They never see the tokens or the content of the calendar.
- Google data is stored with our infrastructure providers (Supabase for the database, Vercel for hosting), who process it only on our instructions. It is encrypted in transit and at rest, and the tokens can only be read by Trym's server functions, never by a browser.
- No one at Trym reads your Google data unless you ask us to for support, it is needed for security purposes such as investigating abuse, or the law requires it.
Limited Use
The use of information received from Google Workspace scopes will adhere to the Google User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Trym's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Disconnecting and deleting Google data
- You can disconnect at any time in Trym (Admin, Profile, My Google Calendar, Disconnect). Trym then revokes its access at Google and deletes the stored connection: tokens, Google email address and sync settings.
- You can also remove Trym's access from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. The stored tokens then stop working; disconnect in Trym or write to us to have them deleted as well.
- Events already added to your calendar belong to you and stay there until you delete them.
- To ask for the deletion of any Google data, write to support@trym.app.
Service providers
We share data only with the providers needed to run Trym, each for its own purpose:
- Supabase: database, sign-in, file storage and server functions.
- Vercel: website hosting and domains.
- Stripe: payments, subscriptions and tax calculation.
- Resend: sending emails.
- Google: Google Calendar for team members who connect it, address search (Google Maps) and website analytics.
- Zernio: publishing posts to social networks, for salons that connect their social accounts.
- KIE.AI: generating business content a salon asks for, such as translations of website text or images. It never receives Google Calendar data.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access is limited by account and by salon, and secrets such as Google tokens stay on the server.
Retention
We keep data while the salon's account is active and as long as needed to provide the service. Google Calendar data is kept only while the calendar is connected, as described above. When a salon asks us to close its account, we delete its data, except the records we must keep for legal, tax or accounting reasons.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data by writing to support@trym.app. Users can also contact the salon directly, since the salon manages their booking data.
Changes
Any change to this policy is published on this page with its date.
